taxdoctor.co.uk has put thousands of pounds back into the pockets of students. Here’s a couple of people and their taxdoctor stories.

Richard is a typical student. He enjoys going out with his mates, playing football, eating pizza & (as he puts it) “occasionally finds time to get some studying done”.

To fund his lifestyle he worked two jobs whilst studying. During term time he worked as a delivery driver for a brewery in Cheltenham, whilst in the summer and Easter holidays he worked in a theme park back at home.

Richard isn’t very good at paper work; he didn’t even know he was paying tax. He’d kept a piece of paper called a P60 for his first job but had nothing relating to his work in the brewery for the last few years.

He completed to online sign up, downloaded the letters that needed to be signed, then taxdoctor got straight on the case.

Taxdoctor contacted Richard’s former boss and managed to get copies of the important tax documents on his behalf.

These showed that he had indeed been paying tax, too much tax. Taxdoctor made a claim and won!

Six weeks after contacting taxdoctor Richard received £324 as a payment straight into his bank account.

Whilst still in school Lizzie used to have a weekend and summer job at her local garden centre. Making teas and serving people in the café.

Lizzie’s employer had been incorrectly deducting tax at basic rate from her wages every week; she was convinced she was due a tax refund.

After leaving school she decided to go on a gap year, before embarking on a university career.

Lizzie made an attempt at contacting her local Inland Revenue office but they didn’t really seem interested. They sent her lots of forms to complete and their help line well wasn’t very helpful! A friend had told her about the taxdoctor service and she signed up right away.

taxdoctor did all the necessary work and completed all the forms for Lizzie’s claim.

Whilst in the outback of Australia Lizzie received an email from her taxdoctor claim manager James telling her that £185 was on its way into her bank account.
