The first thing you need to do is let us know that you’re thinking about using taxdoctor. You can do this by filling on our online form or just giving us a call on 0800 142 5411

You’ll be assigned your very own tax manager who’ll be there to help you from the start until it’s all sorted. He or she will talk to you about your situation and work out what kind of information we’re going to need from you to work on your tax return. They’ll be there to answer any questions you may have and you can get in touch with them via email or phone.

Send us your details

In order to work on your tax return we’re going to need to get some information from you. Your tax manager will explain everything on the phone as it will depend on your individual situation. It’s up to you how you send this information to us. Some clients send it over by email, we can give you a spreadsheet to enter it all. Some send us documents in the post whilst others even read things out over the phone. We’ll work in the way that suits you!

We do our stuff

Once we have all the information, your tax manager will go to work. They’ll look through everything you’ve given and pick out the items that are relevant. They’ll also use their years of experience to make sure it’s all sensible and think if there is anything else you could include on the tax return. They may come back to you during this process if they have any questions.

Check your return

When we’re all done with our work we’ll email over your completed tax return for you to check through. You’ll need to look through it very carefully as this is what we will be submitting online to HMRC. If there is anything you are unsure of or you think needs changing just discuss it with your tax manager and they’ll sort it out for you.

We'll send it in

If you’re happy with the completed tax return we’ll then ask you to do a couple of things. Firstly you’ll need to tell us that in an email, then we’ll need you to pay our invoice for the work carried out. We can accept payment in lots of different ways; online bank transfer, debit or credit card PayPal and even cheque. Once the payment has cleared our systems we’ll get everything submitted to HMRC and let you know that it’s all gone. You can then sit back, relax and forget about your tax for another year!
